Have you ever evaluated your life and said to yourself, I need to get rid of some things? Perhaps you want to experience something new but you don’t know where it’s going to fit? Maybe it’s a new piece of furniture, a new hobby, or a new habit you want to form. Maybe it’s a new relationship that is starting to form. Well, in order to receive new things, you likely need to rid yourself of old things.
When I teach leaders on personal transformation, I introduce the definition of being disruptive and growing. The reality is that in order to transform, it requires much more than a simple change, but a disruption to what once was  and a journey to experience what can be.
Don’t be afraid to get rid of some things from your past. If it doesn’t serve you for your future and is only taking up space, it’s time for some spring cleaning. Throw it out, give it away, donate it, sell it, but by any means necessary, rid yourself of it.
Once you rid yourself of it, stay committed to experiencing the newness of life and don’t look back. You may have to cry, but by all means, make room for more. Learn from the past, treasure the moment in the present, and prepare for the future.
